New picture for Royal Black Couture and Corsetry’s new summer collection named “Enchanted Gardens”
This outfit was absolutely amazing to shoot, it’s made of silk, organza and beautiful lace, laser cut roses and thorns, and hundreds of swarovskis.

This is the first AMAZING photo from our collaboration with Morgana! Her words described the styling as an “Evil Queen” which we think is spot on….

First photoshoot of 2012 for Vanyanis wearing a custom made outfit made with a thick silk satin in black and beige, overlayed with a French lace (also in black and beige) and then decorated with 1,000 Swarovski diamante’s… the corset was an inspired piece based on their ‘Aimee stays’ design. The deer antlers headpiece has also got swarovski accents and I made that one myself.Photography, Styling, modeling by me. www.vanyanis.netjoin them on facebook hereAnd join my facebook page too if you want to see more pictures from this shoot!

My top 4 “Marie Antoinette” film costumes.
Top left: The Versailles mob scene gown from Marie Antoinette (1938). I just absolutely love the gold and green contrast and all the insane intricate work it would have taken to embellish this dress.Top right: The flower garden dress, briefly seen in Marie Antoinette (2006). I often flip-flop with my favorites from this film, but the pattern is definitely a big draw for me.Bottom left: A Trianon gown, again from Marie Antoinette (2006). I love all the Trianon gowns, but the silhouette of this one is my favorite - loose but not too loose, the sash is a beautiful color, and it looks like something I’d like to wear while having a pnicnic.Bottom right: The state portrait gown from Marie Antoinette: La Veritable histoire. I love the blue, I love the cape, and I just love the fact that it was in a painting. I wish more films and/or documentaries recreated dresses from paintings like this - to me it just gives a production that much more reality.
